I think you nailed it! The rebuilt short block (It's still painted blue!) has no marks stamped on it anywhere we can find. Since I don't know HOW long this "rebuilt" motor has been run, and since I've got to go in there anyway I might just put rings in the 292 donor block and use it. THANKS!
