I replaced a 12 GPM with a 17 GPM on a F656 gear. I then had problems with my hyd. filter tearing. There is a different filter for the big pump. And the housing is deeper.... So I went to my local machine shop and fabricated a spacer to go between the tractor frame and the filter housing cover, allowing the deeper filter to be used. Very simple and very important. Forty some dollars and a small tube of silicon later my 656 was just purring (something a 2x J. D. can not do!!!!) and the hydraulics were perfect for the 10 or so years it ran prior to my sale. QR
