Battle of the Gas Filter Gasket

Perhaps everyone has run into this before: Removed the tank on my Super C to clear the fuel line & put everything back together, but can"t stop fuel from leaking from where the top of the glass bowl fits into the metal holder. Bought a new gasket and filter screen, still leaks. The prior owner had two gaskets in there, sandwiching the filter, so I tried that. It helped, but still leaks a pretty steady drip. Hmmmm. Doesn"t feel like the gasket is pinched, when I tighten the knob at the bottom of the swingarm that holds the glass sediment bowl. Drip stops when I turn the shut-off knob. Any ideas, or is this pretty much a feel-as-you-go project? Many thanks. - Kyle
