Kirk it sounds to me like you get a lot of info from John Deere guys. Most of them never have anything good to say about any other tractors. On top of that they may not have ever used one. I can tell you from a lifetime of using IH and some others including JD,AC,MF,Caseand Ford that you can not beat a IH for durability. Just look around there are 10s of thousands of them still hard at work. Including old letter series Farmalls. IH sold 6 or 7 million tractors for some reason. IH designs and innovations are still being used on new tractors today of lots of different brands.
