Yes I know you'll see 120 to 130 when new or right after rebuilds, but just how long do these old gassers stay that way if your working them. Right now for example, my 130 is running at 85#. I know I should pop in a new engine kit, however it plows my snow and when I hook it to and implement there is little difference between it and my 140 at 115#. 140 will last a bit longer on hard lugging. I think, I've also answered your second question,"Why do folks do this". It's old age, the tractor changes from a money making tool to something that gives you a few fond memories. I see this starting myself, I'd just as soon go to the shop and look at them as use them. If your not going to use them why spend money. You know the next generation is just going ship them off to an auction when your gone.
