First what size bottom and plow are we talking about. A 1066 should handle a 4-16 rollover with no problem in High #1, high #2 is too fast. If you have a 4-18 rollover Low #4 is probably a better. 5-6 mph is about max for plowing. 1 Hight is the primary tillage gear for this tractor with the T/A helping out at the end of the rows. You can allways turn is up a little and add 20 or so HP. Be careful as the rear ends are not designed to handle the extra HP and their life will be shortened. Depends on how much strain you put on the rear end. Engine is near bullet proof and can take the extra. Same engine is used in the 1466 with some small modifications and a version of it is still in use in Navastar trucks. D/DT 414/436/466.
