Looks like everyone below has worked on a pto. I'll weigh in with my 2 cents too. The one post below is correct about new vs old style pto. Old style is 1-1/8 and new 1-3/8. Old style requires much more work than new. If you have the new style I would highly recommend checking the radial play on the out put brg. If you grab it by hand, and work it side to side and it moves, replace it. the other two parts are easier. The paper gasket btwn the pto housing and rear casting and the output brg seal. On the gasket a bit of RTV here works well to seal it. On the seal do like the one post said drive it square into the bore. When you get all that done you need to look at the gear lube in there. Most of these tractors have NEVER had the gear lube changed at all. Believe me it doesn't last 40+ years either. So you may as well drain all the lube out (there are two plugs!) and replace to level plug hole on the casting side to do the whole job right. By the way, if you have the old style pto and want the new, go to a scrap yard and get one. They will swap out 100% with no modification. I just did this on an H with s/n below 5000. Once done you don't need those darn adapters anymore!! Good luck.
