Well, It looks to me that my question was like kicking a bee hive. They no till cotton, corn, wheat and soy beans around here on rotation...not sure which follows which. Chickens are commercially grown here also so there is a lot of C/S put on the land. I have seen them out there with the weed killer. I do not know any of the answers to the killing of bees, compacting the soil, comparison of yields, but that will give me something to investigage...the only thing I am sure of is that it has substantially contributed to control of soil erosion in my area and I suspect that my grandfather would have done it rather than look up the south end of a team of mules going north 12 hours per day. If here is any other question that I can ask to get your blood pumping, just give me a hint :-) tw
