I looked at a '44 H close to my home today. Not sure on the price yet, I'm guessing I'll offer $500 since it doesn't run and needs a number of parts. Motor has been rebuilt and was working fine so I'm told, but the tractor quit for some unknown reason and they were unable to get it started again. The farm is converting to vinyards, so the M's and H are too big, so the owner is selling. Anyway, I didn't meet the owner, as he was working out of town. But a mutual friend is putting us together for this deal. He's the one who showed me the H. He said the hydraulic pump is off the tractor and gone, and he didn't know why. I'll get more detail to that story from the owner. But I wanted to ask, the holes you see in the top pic look stright through the bottom. There is nothing there. Whatever goes inside that torque tube is completely gone, and there is no cover on the bottom. Is that all the hydraulic pump, or is there more missing out of that area than just that?
