I do not think i ever covered setting the machanical T/A's as with there age it is realy a sorta FEEL thing . A good starting point on them is BY THE BOOK . Now on sone of these older tractors that have had several cluth jobs over the years and a number of FLYWHEEL grindings ya start running into problems with clutch adjustments and getting the T/A linkage set to where everything works like it should . Now if he is having somegrinding noise when pushen in the clutch all the way then i would have to drop the bottom inspection cover and start looken as to what is going on in there THEN see just how and the hello i am going to make this all work. I have seen where you have no more adjustment left on the clutch rod because of excess flywheel grinding and have had to go hunting for a flywheel .
