One factor that can cause a tractor to run at speed when stopped or slow, and not when going fast, is junk in the fuel tank, sediment bowl getting stirred up over bumps and getting fed into the fuel stream going to the engine. Other than that, there aren't too many reasons. Pulling hard in 2-3 will use much more fuel, and I would tell you that was it except for your description. JimN
