T.Tim the serial number on the engine is on a flat plate just above the #3 spark plug or in that vicinity on the head. If the engine is original then it was usually the same as the frame. The 1945 Serial numbers were 186,123 to 214,819. This is from the 150 Years of Intl. Harvestor book
