As mentioned many of these #5s were used with Hs and Ms, in fact JD supplied Mounts for most tractors. If you can find an operator's manuel for the #5 (in the old ones this was a parts book also) it would show the mounts for the M. I used a #8 with the quick tatch brackets you mention on my SMTA. I had a mounting bracket from a JD 420 or 430 and fastened it to my drawbar. You have to tailor the PTO length to match your tractor. As mentioned if you find one with the flat mount it will bold right to your swinging drawbar supports.
