Jim is definitely right on the TA requirement. Make sure its a good working TA. Without a TA, it's just simply too fast even in 1st gear for some of the things I do without a snowblower. Snowblowing require a pretty slow ground speed and the TA accomplishes that.

As I grew older (7), it was the thrill of my day to ride or drive on the tractor. My Papaw had a 1954 IH Super A that he bought to replace a Cub.
