I ran a stock engine at 12 psi in the manifold, which was after an intercooler and carb. It was a 263 with fire crater pistons and 8574 head. Everything was stock other than that. I pulled in 4th gear at 2500RPM. With uncut 18.4 tires I could hardly get the power to the ground. When the clutch gave up is when I decided to build the "monster" as you put it ;). I think the clutch lasted 3 hooks after I got the 18.4's on it. The engine was damn stout.
