Starter rod is 5/16" rod,10" long with a 5/8" or so 90 degree bend a the bottom end where it fits into the starter and 1 1/2" 90 degree bend at the top where your foot pushes on it. The top bend should be angled down slightly to provide room for your foot to miss the gas tank. The 10" measurement is between the bends. The bracket that holds the top end of the rod bolts to the rearmost bolt of the fuel tank. That bracket is made of 1/8" plate that is 7/8" wide. It runs down from the fuel tank bolt 1 1/2" then makes a 90 degree bend and sticks out 2 1/2" horizontal to the tractor. It has a 90 degree twist and a hole drilled near the end for the starter rod to run thru. It's very simple but hard to discribe. I could e-mail you a picture if you send me you address. Dave.
