dej(jed), sorry to hear your dad may have "only hours to go." I was with my dad on Tuesday, March 13 for most of the last 14 hours he was alive, leaving only for a short break/meals. I was "phoned back" and he left this life in peace with me holding/patting his hand while talking to him as the sense of hearing is the last to go. I closed his eyes and it was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. At 77, my dad was to old for any organ/tissue donations. My late girlfriend, a young 42, was a donor. Since then, I have that designated on my drivers license and the funeral home has my wishes for when I depart. May you and fellow ytmag board member old find peace.
