As far as I know, an original is sort of a 'rounded off square shape'. On one side it reads 'Ball' (script) and then 'special'(normal), with 'wide mouth' written below them both. Around the rest of the jar are 6 vertical raised bars in the glass. The jar is sort of squatty looking, not sure of the dimensions off the top of my head - my guess would be about 4-5 inches tall.
