CNKS is right. The pin that runs in the worm gear is worn...and no I do not know where to find one. I usally take it apart and turn it 180 degrees so it runs on the other side. Also get a manual and insure its adjusted right. It has 2 screws for adjustment. The TA is more than likely history. I saw an add on here awhile back where someone rebuilds them. Make sure they will install larger balls and springs if you do it. These were good old tractors. I have 2 dad had when I was a kid...not pretty...but working tractors. I also have 2 350s and 2 extra 300s. The big problem with the steering was that unit has to be kept full of oil to keep the moving parts lubricated. Most people never thought to check them or just did not they had to have oil. Best of luck, but you do infact have a tractor with potential.
