I have a md i just got home. I was looking at the serial number on the engine and right above the fuel pressure gauge was the serial number. it is FDBKM 15493 The serial on the side of the tractor indacates that it a 1950 model and the cast dates are the letter T so it is deffintly a 50. My question is they only made 16,000 or so md's durning its run. the engine serial number must coraspond with how many md engines engines were made? I belive there were only a thousand or so md's made after mine. But you cannot go by the serial number on the engine as it would be a 39 or 40 if you used the M serial number chart. so there must be a diffrent chart to tell when the engine was made without using cast codes. I'm just wondering if i got the right idea?
