It you suspect a bad gear or bearing you can see by draining down the rear end and removing the side cover on the right side under the step. at most you may need a new gasket for this cover. To look at the bevel gears and spiders remove the middle top link bracket at the rear of the tractor between the three point hitch arms. This you can do with out draining it down. good luck chris
