I posted this photo and two others in parts and pieces. I found the pieces of this when I drained the transmission yesterday. It looks like a thrust washer of some sort. I have spent quite some time looking through the exploded views of the trans, PTO and belt pulley, and I can't figure out what it is. The tractor runs and shifts right, with no strange noises. The PTO works, and I don't care about the belt pulley. We also jacked it up and turned the wheels in all gears with the motor off and heard nothing strange. I have no idea how long this was lying there, I can't remember the last time I changed the rear end oil. The last time the top cover was off was twenty years ago, and the case was clean then. I really don't want to tear into it without knowing what I am looking for. This tractor will be number one horse for 7-8000 bales of hay starting very soon, and I am not looking forward to tearing it down before I start.

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
