Well ya can just buy it from Case I H or ask your fuel supplier for Low ash oil . And any of the stuff made after the M's used detergant oil to help clean the engine . So i don 't know what model tractor you have but most people have switched many years a go . Now if you have not and are going to then it is wise to pull the pan and clean it and go on a 50 hour change for awhile to get the engine cleaned out . That old Non Det. oil can cause rings to stick and have lot of sludge build up . Guys talk about mulit grade well that is fine in the newer stuff as the engine clearances are tighter and they will hold better lube pressures the older stuff were not that tight . Multi grades did not realy come on till the mid 70 's in Hd operation . When i bought my 4370 I H with a cummins the book called for stright weight 30 w seires 3 oil . I was one of the unlucky ones that got some of the bad liners from the factory and my engine was toaste at 65000 miles Cummins put in a new engine and this one was to be run on 15-40 series 3 so Cummins changed in mid 77 But the 86 seires tractors were still running the stright weight seires 3 oils .So i feel like this the boys that designed the engines know far more then me .
