I just bought an international 2500 backhoe that needs some tlc. I think that the clutch is almost due a change but I wanted to inspect it first. (I haven't gotten a service manual yet) so I ask the local ih dealer/mechanic about it and he said it is a dry clutch and there is an inspection plate on the bottom remove it and I can see the clutch, that is what I did about an hour ago and got soaked with hyd. oil when the inspection plate poped loose. I put it back up and came in here to seek some counsel. Why if in deed this is a dry clutch would I get soaked? if it is a wet clutch is there any adjustment inside the case if the only adjustment is the rod going to the pedal then I think it is a clutch replacement because the clutch does not act like it fully engages when the pedal is released, in the higher gears it slips pretty bad. also if anyone has a lead on a cylinder for the boom I am needing one of them. thanks in advance Ben
