Discs For H/M Friction Throttles

Howdy, Boys: I am going to try an (old) aftermarket friction throttle on my Super H. If I don't like it, I can always go back to the tooth type, but I want to try one. Question: I see the replacement discs for sale (in pairs), but do not know whether I am supposed to install one or both discs. Also, if it takes two, do I glue them to each side of the throttle or do they have enough "bite" to just install them as is? The throttle lever I have is old & dirty and I cannot tell from looking at it - even after disassembly - how these discs were installed nor can I tell how many were in it. Thanks as always. mike
