When you crank up rhw M with the shifter bolted on the right side, you will find that the tractor will run backwards. That tractor has a reversable top as used on low drum cotton pickers and it is set up for reverse operation. To make it run forward, it will be necessary to remove the top and flip the differential and install the regular shift rails on the left side. The reversable tops are getting somewhat hard to find so you might want to put on a conventional top when you flip the differential and sell the reversable top and reversed shift rails if you have no need or want to reverse the tractor again.
