Leaking oil on Cub Lo-Boy

On the underside of the clutch houseing, there is a circular plate covering a hole. I have been told this is for clutch adjustment. I am leaking oil from this hole, even with the cover on. It leaks bad enough that over a 4 week period, almost all the oil from the crank case was gone. Any suggestions? Will an oil leak stopper help? Thanks!
