No special parts needed to mate a 300 (C169) or 350 (C175) engine to an H. The blocks are the same, just bored out bigger. Nobody in the know will be fooled, as they will be checking the casting where C169 or C175 will clearly be shown. Grind it off and they'll KNOW you're a-cheatin'. A real sleeper would be to bore out the C152 block and install C175 sleeves, C175 step-head pistons, 350 cam, 350 crank, 350 head. Anything you buy will probably be shot, so it might be better to just rebuild the engine you've got. You sure it's not a bad rod bearing or something like that?
