Thanks for the reply. I finally got it apart last night. All for naught. The right hand bearing cage had been broken and welded so I can't pull the pinion shaft out to replace the oil seal. I hope I didn't mess the seal up too bad trying to take it apart. The left seal was leaking so I was going to change both of them while I had it all apart but I can't so we will see what happens. Thanks again for the replies. This is a great forum for getting an education on tractors. Dave
