Rick,
Dan made the guess that your M has been converted to 12V and has a distributor type ignition. If your battery is 6V, you will only see 6V at the coil. I would start by checking as he said, then proceed to check That the rotor is turning, then check the point gap for .020" and then replace the condenser. If your M has a Magneto, write back and let us know. The Magneto has the coil mounted into the distributor and there are no wires connecting to it from the battery. Phil
