Whew....what a day...2 days.

I hung the motor on the H I am working on Saturday morning...a total of 10 minutes hanging time. And, then, is when the pain started.

I put the rails on. This thing had a two piece motor support system with rubber in it. They were shot. So I fortunately came into possession of two solid steel mounts. I thought it would be a cake walk to install them. The holes matched holes in the block but not in the rails! So, I quit and thought about it. At 3 AM, I got up and went down there and made a slot out of the hole that was existent. Just moved it up on the top and down on the bottom hole about 1/2 inch.

PERFICT (so I thought)

I got the bloister on the lift and slid it in place. Bolts in left side and then to right...lo and behold, what a gap. The mounts are too thick from the rail to the engine mount point. (Did I mention that I broke a thread cleaner off in one of the holes--fortunately--just enought stuck out to get vice grips on it to get it out) And, I picked up a #5 instead of #8 and promptly twisted it off with the impact wrench...Things going bad to worse...Quit...went and made ice cream and invited neighbors over...(mental motor grinding all the time) When they left, I fired up the milling machine and shaved off 1/8 inch off each mount. Slid them in placed and bolted it all up...perfect!!!!

This thing will have rubber on the ground very very soon!!
