Well, I finally got around to adjusting the clutch and the dump valve on our 966. After following Tractor Vet"s procedure for setting tractors with TA and Hydraulic Assist, I started up the tractor and the clutch worked better than it has for years. However, after running it for a few days, the clutch release is becoming very jumpy. When you release, the tractor all of a sudden jerks forward in the last 1/8 or 1/16 of pedal travel when letting up the pedal, instead of gradually accelerating as the pedal is released. The TA also jerks when you throw it forward. Is this caused by a misadjusted dump valve? Do I shorten the linkage or lengthen it to fix it? Thanks.
