There's a test out there (sorry, I don't have a link to it) that showed the 34s actually had a little more drawbar pull than 38s because of the reduction in overall gearing. I found it on the web, but don't recall exactly where... so I invite you to Google! As I recall, it was from a university website. If I had to guess, it'd be Ohio State or Purdue. My 826 has 34s but I've never run 38s on it for comparison.
