he prolly didn't mean he wanted to kill them but scare the $*&^ outta them, maybe catch them and turn them in. my grandpa had the same problem back in the 50's, he fired a few rounds in the air, his saying was"Well i got a few gas cans for free!" ;^) amd he never had anyone steal gas outta his barrel again. sounds like a hastle but i say fix up that barrel and fill it up with water mixed with a little gas, then buy the gas as you need it in cans. i bet they wouldn't get too far if they came again! :) df
