All Regulars had threaded caps from the factory.
I have seen a lot of them (including mine)with 1/4 turn caps but they apparently have had their tanks replaced. There were a lot of subtle changes and improvments on all the F-series tanks. The early ones on the Regulars must have been prone to cracking and or leaking.
