There is a plug in the top the pto housing that you can add grease/oil through along with the one in the top of the transmission. You really only need to add oil to the pto sump when you change the fluid. Like Leon said, the rearend gears slop oil up into the pto sump. The pto sump probably holds about a quart. If the rearend is up to the proper level it should splash a sufficient amount of oil to the pto. The pto assembly is easy to remove. The gaskets and bearings are still available from Case/IH. I have the parts cd and can email you the page if you need it.
