I guess the factory guy with the stamps was out-to-lunch or took a sick day. I can't find either "C". The aluminum serial number plate only has the serial number. The engine should also have a "C" but there doesn't appear to be any numbers or letters. The "C" was replaced with a "N" if it was a high altitude LP tractor. My LP installation is OEM to IHC. There is no question about that. My W400 has the optional die-cast service meter on the front engine cover and tach drive on the distibuter drive.. I am wondering if those were part of the LP package. You might want to check the casting number on the intake manifold. It should be 358 308 R11. It seems unlikely that an aftermarket supplier could or would use an IH LP manifold.
