A SMTAD is a valuable tractor if it's in running condition. All early Farmall Diesels started on gas then switched to diesel,so the guy is right it will run on either.I doubt if it would run over an hour with the small gas tank they have though. I watched a junk Smta,I mean no paint,rough sheet metal,loose steering and unusable rear tires sell for 3600 just 2 weeks ago at a farm sale. Several bidders to 3000.
