I took the muffler off to get into the garage as my roof on my tractor shed won't be on for 3 weeks, so out go the wifes van!!!! anyways my 44 H is looking like a flame throwen funny car!!! I wass very suspect that the no 2 exaust valve wasent a shuttin all the way. As i can take the no 2 plug wire off at an idel and it dosent change a bit, so i knew there had to be a vslve not opening or closing..... well it is the exaust valve not closing...When it is compleatly dark and i know shes shoot flams i did a test... I took off the #2 wire and the flam thrower went away. does this sound like a ex valve? I was wondering what is the easyest way to change the valve spring... i have herd of using string in the cylinder to bump the valve open so you can change it. is this the easyest way? thanks guys. in was in there a week ago and there was a spring that was real short looking I bet thats my culprat... I did adjust the valve lash and it helped but i think the spring is totaly shot now.... all thoughts welcome
