Housing 357185 R1 and R2 will give the most clearance on american tractors. Used on gas and diesel starting around late 51. As mounted on tractor the left front corner is angled to rear of tractor compared to earlier housings. Also the angle started being added to transmission top cover. Have no idea if they work on SBMD though.
