Owen, Did you adjust the mixture. The screw at the bottom front of the carb is load mixture it usually is 3 turns out or so from light seating. Oit is richer, in is leaner. The Idle mixture is up higher and is in for richer, out for leaner. If it still runs poorly, I think the main jet is partially clogged. The load screw is not the primary high speed adjustment, that is the main jet (internal), the load screw can have the effect you describe if it is most of the way in. JimN
