I am down to bits and pieces and this project is history. I had just mounted the new steering wheel before taking this pix. I had to take my sawzall and cut the old steering wheel off. I cut through where the key slot was and then I was able to pull it off.
Things to do.
Replace the oil pump when I change oil and filter at hour 30. I have 28 hours on the engine.
Stop 2 minor leaks at the governor housing.
Work on the throttle lever. The tab is badly worn. Tired of using vice grips.
Paint the rebuilt generator. Boy this puppy charges around 10 to 15 amps.
Paint touchups.
Swap mufflers with the IH I bought that is currently on the 45.
I might down the road rework the paint on the hood. I did not notice that the previous owner had paint run which showed up after I painted it. As usual I got in a hurry and wasn't paying close attention.
