Troy you never said if your farmall had steel wheels or not if it has steel wheels fifth gear is locked out. You didnt give much information about if it just happened or not.But if you just got the tractor and high gear don't work you might want to check the lockout screw on your shifter base it should be 3/8x3/4 if it is longer you will not be able to put it in high gear.
