Farmall MD to SuperMD

My friend has a Farmall MD (who stars on gasolin)
from 1944(he says).Because the engine needs an overhaul,he likes to know if he can reform him to a Super MD at the same time.Anyone who can tell us
if this is possible snd how to do it?We are living in Brazil,so we don't have not to many parts (aftermarket)available!Thanks for your comments,
