Alrighty, another weekend, another problem. This one is fairly minor.
I decided it was time to get the tach working on the 674, and after removing the cable and not finding a core inside, I also noticed that there was not a gear inside the right angle adapter on the front of the engine. Not having the cable, I can't be certain what I should have in there, but I'm betting that the gear should be somewhere. Apparently the PO decided it would look better to have the appearance of a complete tach drive setup. Sorry about how blurry it is. My camera seemed to want to focus on the tripod stand. From what I can tell, I have the angle drive extension shaft, spacer, nut, and the remains of the actual angle drive assembly--everything but the gear.
Anyone have a drive assembly they might be willing to sell? I'd really like a tach, and I've come to terms with the price of the cable and tach. This is seemingly a dealer only item, but before I go that route, I figure I can offer some money to someone on here for something they are not using.
I'm open to other tach solutions if anyone knows of a good and budget way to get there.
