On the side of injection pump you will find an oil level cock open it or the drain plug. If it is taking on fuel the oil level cock will run fuel for a while. The pump oil should be changed just like the engine and check the oil level the same way daily. The pump is not oiled by the engine oil it has it's own oil. I have two of the 400 diesel myself.
