Greg: That sounds like an interesting tractor. The info in Guy Fays book says that X3A should be kerosene and lower speed gears. I guess that 1st gear is 1 5/8 rather than 2 5/8 MPH. There was a "B" added to the model with those made in Britan such as BMD rather than MD etc. I exchanged email with a person a couple months ago who had a FC which was a French "C".. I have to laugh when I remember as a kid in the 40's and 50's reading that small print on the side decal that said "made in USA" and thinking we were the only ones to have such fine machines.. I hope this helps. I also hope you keep us informed as to what happens with this tractor that seems to be a rare unit.. Take care. hr
