Char-Lynn for my MD?

I need power steering. I've got a friend with the Char-Lynn system on his MD and it works ok. However in talking to the nice folks at Bates Corp. they say it's not designed for the diesel. We all know it's a little heavier than a gas M. He also faxed me a copy of the installation instructions and sure enough right on the first page from the Char-Lynn people it says NOT FOR DIESEL TRACTORS. However I'm hardheaded I'm thinking about buying a new system anyway. Does anyone else have an MD with this system and how does yours work? Thanks for your input!
