I agree with others. However, I saw the rod type with button on starter used on an "M". So maybe it's year specific. To use the starter button near the amp gauge, you need to pick up the factory casting which makes mounting the button a snap. If you have a rod type starter, you would have to change the starter to go with the light rod switch or stick with the existing rod and starter assembly.
