Frank, Originally, as built, the Farmall H distillate produced less horsepower than the Farmall H gasoline because the fuel produced less btu's and a lower compression ratio. However, over the years almost all of the distillate tractors have been overhauled and compression ratio and components updated where there is no difference. I would guess it is 95% certane that the tractors you are lookig at are upgraded for gasoline only operation even though the old shutters, tank and manifold may be still in place. In a tractor show, having all of the distillate equipment in place looks good but that is a matter of personal taste. Harold H
